I have been in the same small school district for the last 27 years and love it now just as much as I did the first year I started! I have always been the "reading teacher" who loves books and makes kids excited about reading when they weren't interested before. I spend an embarrassing amount of my own money in books and my classroom has books in it from when I was a child. This year, my students loved reading so much that they decided it should be listed as a reward whenever the marble jar got filled !

I have approximately 22 3rd graders and are 80 percent free and reduced lunch. Most students come from homes where there are no books unless I loan them to them...
